Chapter Two Response by, Rena Blake

The book states on page 43 of the text, "Identity only makes sense in relation to others". I found this to be both interesting and true. I am me no matter what, but that means a lot of things to various people. In other words, in order to be a daughter I must have parents and in order to be a friend to someone, they must also be a friend to me. We have become who we are based on the people that surround us. They help mold and shape our feelings and thoughts through the experiences we share.
