Driving Forces

One driving force that will have a great impact on us in the future is global warming. A predetermined factor is the amount of people who will be driving in the years to come will increase, especially in places like the Bay Area where people are buying housing further and further away from the city and their places of employment. THe number of commuters is steadily increasing. Although public transportaion is availabl, people will still have a desire for the comfort, security and privacy of their own vehicles. The critical uncertainty directly related to this driving force is the amount of carbon emmisions as well as other pollutants that are being released into the atmosphere. There is an eminant and increasing threat of global warming and the devastating effects it will have on our evnironment.
