Driving Forces

What I see as a definete driving force and a great example of a critical uncertaty, is transportation. Our population keeps getting bigger and bigger. Just look at 880, the freeways are becoming more jam-packed with each day that passes by. I wonder what tranportation system will look like in 10 years. There has been talk about a bullet train from here to L.A in 2 hrs imagine that. As far a a predetermined element well, I'll use the same example our population this time tied into sex. How about the contraceptives as a predetermined element. Scientist are contantly trying to come up with new forms of contraceptives like condoms or a new birth control pill for females and now even for males.
