Chapter 2 - Jennifer Medina

“If you’re writing a profile, you have one job and that is to sound different than everybody else.” (37) I have met many people who are in business for themselves through the use of network marketing companies. Many of these people market their businesses through the use of personal profiles on popular sites. They each understand that they do not get a second chance at making a first impression. In order to be successful, they must use the perfect balance of creativity and constraint when they are creating and updating their profiles. They must use their creativity to make their profiles stand out from all of the others. They goal is to be unique, so that they will be remembered. At the same time, they must be careful to not over embellish the truth. They must use constraint to help keep them honest.
